About Marie
I am a natural light and studio photographer of people and horses. I offer a diversity of experiences such as branding, portraits, family and equine sessions as well as intimate weddings.
I have a big heart and I care about people a lot. It's important to me you feel relaxed as soon as possible and as I apparently have a very calming presence, it won't be long before you're feeling comfortable.
I prefer to be behind the camera than in front of it, so I totally get how 'awkward' people often feel. In fact one of the first things people tell me is how they are not photogenic and they worry about not knowing what to do. Rest assured, I will direct you every step of the way and it's my promise that I will take care of you throughout your session. You'll actually end up having fun and wonder what all the worry was about!
My loves.... everything horses and western, my horse Chrissy and rescue dog Rosie, food photography (and food!), crocheting, a close knit family, good friends and God.
I have known Marie Richards for the last 10 years both as a professional photographer and personal friend. As a singer I engaged Marie in 2013 to photograph me for my cover shots of my latest CD and forthcoming promotional material. Her work is nothing short of outstanding and I am continually amazed at the high levels she attains in her photography work.
